Ranjan Kumar Acharyya, PhD

Ranjan was born in West Bengal, India. Ranjan received his Ph.D. degree from the department of chemistry, IIT Kharagpur in total synthesis of natural products in Aug, 2019. After spending one and half years as a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at Sungkyunkwan University, South Korea, he joined the Wang Lab in May, 2021. Currently focused on the development of novel small molecule inhibitors.

Changwei Wang, PhD

Changwei has 2 PhDs, one of medicinal chemistry from New York State University at Stony Brook in 2017, the other of ecology from Sun Yat-sen University in 2005. Changwei has studied the yew tree, taxoids and relative drug delivery system for more than 10 years. Currently, he continue working on the design, synthesis and lead optimization of anticancer drugs. Changwei likes many kinds of sports, including calisthenics, shooting, archery, katana, and so on.

Zhixiang Chen, PhD

Zhixiang Chen received his Ph.D in Organic Chemistry from Prof. Dawei Ma group at Shanghai Institute of Organic Chemistry, Chinese Academy of Sciences in 2019. Before Ph.D, he finished his M.Sc. training in Medicinal Chemistry under the supervision of Prof. Jianhua Shen at Shanghai Institute of Materia Medica, Chinese Academy of Sciences. Zhixiang Chen joined Wang Lab in January 2020, and is currently focused on development of small molecule anti-cancer PROTAC.

Dimin Wu, PhD

Dimin was born and raised in Chengdu, China, where he got his B.S. in 2013 from Sichuan University. Dimin attended Shanghai Institute of Organic Chemistry, China Academy of Science, where he had the opportunity to work with Prof. Ang Li to do the Ph.D. research in total synthesis of natural products (2013-2019). He joined Wang lab in 2020.

Rohan Rej, PhD

Rohan was born in West Bengal, India. He received his Ph.D. degree from IIT Kharagpur in the total synthesis of natural products. After spending one year as a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at Purdue University, USA, he joined the Wang Lab in 2016. Currently focused on the development of novel small molecule inhibitors (EED/LSD1) and drug-like properties for optimization of PROTACs.

Lin Yang, PhD

Research Fellow

Lin received his B.S. from Sichuan University. He earned his Ph.D. from Shanghai Institute of Organic Chemistry, Chinese Academy of Sciences under the supervision of Prof. Ran Hong in 2017. Then, he worked as a Research Associate in the same group, where he focused on the construction of polyketide stereoarrays and also accomplished the total synthesis of lasonolide A. Then, he joined Krische group in May 2019 where he accomplished the total synthesis of andrographolide. Lin joined the Wang Lab in February 2021 and is currently focused on the development of anti-cancer PROTACs.
